MINNEAPOLIS — And just like that, the 2025 NTDC season has wrapped up.

On Aug. 23, the National Truck Driving Championships and National Step Van Driving Championships concluded with FedEx earning top honors.

North Dakota’s David Comings, competing in the five-axle division, won his class en route to earning the Bendix Grand Champion trophy. Comings’ colleague from Texas,

Logan Montandon, again won big in step van. He was last year’s step van blue ribbon awardee.

The company’s leadership touted the drivers’ exploits. “At FedEx, Safety Above All guides everything we do,” said John A. Smith, chief operating officer, U.S. & Canada, in a statement soon after the contest’s conclusion. “I’m proud of our team’s outstanding performance at this year’s National Truck Driving Championships. Their dedication to safety and outstanding service is clear in every mile they drive.”
